A few life changes

I am 22.5 weeks pregnant today, turning 23 weeks on Tuesday! The baby is moving a lot, although I can't quite tell if they are kicks, rolls, punches, etc. I just know that he was breech 2 weeks ago, so anything I feel near my bellybutton, I assume is an arm/elbow and anything in my lower abdomen are feet. I know that he has some room to do somersaults, flips, turns, etc, but I don't think I would be able to distinguish between the different types of movement at this point; or ever! Chris has even been able to feel him move! It's really fun!

I have finished all my classwork and successfully completed my fall class with an A!!! :) I am VERY happy to no longer have to commute downtown on Tuesday evenings, which means I have a free night! I hope this will ease my stress and maybe help the nausea.

I'm working to get off my medication. As always, the weekends are always better and Monday mornings are the worst! I really think the nausea arrives when I'm feeling stressed, even if I don't FEEL stressed. But, I've been able to take a 1/2 pill and feel and eat well! :)

We survived Thanksgiving although I was VERY sick with an upper respiratory infection. I felt miserable the day of thanksgiving and developed severe chest congestion that has developed into the nasty bronchial cough. Unfortunately, my body has this tendency to regurgitate everything in my stomach from coughing fits! It's the weirdest thing! I don't even have to feel nauseous anymore to throw up! But, as my cough has improved, so has the vomiting!

I have been experiencing SEVERE pelvic pain. It appears that my pelvic bone is VERY sore, making it uncomfortable to walk at times. It is sorta making me waddle and it's WAY too early to be waddling. So, I'm not sure if it is partly my pelvis expanding or if it's pain resulting from pressure in my lower back. I'm planning to take a visit to my Chiropractor within the next few weeks. Is anyone aware of any stretching I can do to help alleviate the pain?

  1. hey! I was just catching up on your blog and saw your comment on the pelvic pain. Is it in your lower back area, like the hip joints? Or is it more around front? I had really bad pain with J in my lower back/hip joints because my SI joints were loose. The whole pelvis loosens up in pg and even though I had it with #1 it was way worse second time around. I did lots of cat stretches and used a tennis ball to massage the area against a wall. I saw a physical therapist for the last 10 weeks and that helped make it through. Also, supportive shoes are important. I lived in my crocs. And never went barefoot. Hope your chiro can help with some stretches. Let me know how you're doing!
