13.5 weeks

So, I'm almost out of the first trimester! Any of you who are looking for a morning sickness update: I went three days (so far) this week without puking! It's Saturday and I'm hoping for four and five this weekend! Chris is on a retreat this weekend with the Men from church and I got together with a few of us girls last night for a Girls' Night! I am proud and happy to report that I successfully ate pizza and kept it down! :D

I am posting a picture of my belly at 12.5 weeks. And the ultrasound pictures; they did not upload right for Chris at work. So, we may just take a picture of the pictures and see if that works out. If not, I don't know how to share the ultrasound pictures with you.

But, an update from our first prenatal visit and ultrasound at 12 weeks:
I got weighed (which is less than before I was pregnant, EVEN WITH MY CLOTHES ON), ultrasound, chat with the midwife, peed in a cup, and had four vials of blood taken! Chris and I thought the ultrasound technician was cranky. I did not think she was very nice. But, the baby was 5.6cm long and jumping around like crazy!! It was super weird because I could see it moving, but although this being inside me is 2.5 inches at this point, I could not feel anything moving. You would think you could, but you can't! Everything seem to look good and we are exactly on target, as I anticipated for our due date of April 10. You can't quite go wrong when you know the day you ovulated! The ultrasound tech asked if we wanted her thoughts on the sex and she said a boy. However, I find her to be an idiot because all external genitalia LOOKS THE SAME until about 16 weeks. I was really pleased with the nurses and my midwife, Amy. They had a lot of good support and feedback about the morning sickness. We go back at 16 weeks on October 22. Oh, and on the way home, I puked in Chris's car. :D

I'm trying to think what else I need to add. If I figure out how to get the ultrasound pictures on the computer, I will upload them! PROMISE!!
